i’m kenya —

Tuskegee University alum, former engineer, former makeup artist, former beauty YouTuber, Harvard Business School Class of 2019, former beauty executive — and now, a freelance creative troublemaker.

The through-line? I’ve built a career at the intersection of science and storytelling.

  • Engineering taught me to break down complex systems into smaller parts and processes.

  • Beauty taught me that a product isn’t just chemistry — it’s emotion, identity, and culture in a jar.

  • And my years inside the corporate machine taught me how to translate both into launches that scale and strategies that actually stick.

Most people pick one lane. I’ve built a career refusing to.

Now, I run Raphael Road, a brand marketing consulting studio, where I help beauty, fashion, and consumer brands move past plateaus with strategies rooted in both rigor and culture.

At Raphael Road, we know that our culture isn’t a trend. We know that Black people aren’t a niche consumer. And we know that our culture built this industry. Now it’s our turn to own it. 😈
